Beach

I bought a used Minolta SRT201 while a sophomore in College from a newspaper photographer. He showed me the three main controls on the camera and then said what all great teachers say: "go out and shoot," which I did, in abundance. Eventually the yearbook editor approached me with an offer: shoot for the yearbook and get unlimited film and lessons in film and photo developing and editing. I continue to learn this great craft every day.

The beach is my muse. I have spent every summer of my life at the Jersey shore and love every area and every day while there. When I share photos from the shore I hope everyone who sees them feels as wonderful as I do.

Philadelphia is my home and I Love living there and finding new subjects at every turn. The motion, and emotion of the city is invigorating. I see the City filled with beauty, decay, happiness, loneliness and togetherness. I enjoy capturing all of it.

When not in the City or at the beach, I try to travel as much as possible with my wife, family and friends. The world is an amazing place where almost every scene and experience is unique and worthy of recording.

Because everyone sees the same scene differently, my goal is not to simply record what I see, but to share how I see it. Most of my work is straight out of the camera (with minor corrections/amplifications.) But I also like to, occasionally, try different techniques and software to make my images interesting and unique.
